Tasting Notes From March 2006

Cerviolo
1999 Toscana
IGT
Roasted red cherry fruit. Red cranberry. Slightly tannic and tangy with leathery overtones. Nice. Tuscans at Campisi's

Sor Ugo
2001 Toscana
Aia Vecchia
Roasted pool water nose initially. Strong aromas of international-style oaking. Palate shows some tannin. Judgement reserved. Tuscans at Campsisi's

Fattoria del Cerro
2001 Vino Nobile di Montelpuciano
Vigneto Antica Chiusina
A concentrated Vino Nobile to be sure, with characteristic sour cherry flavors. I'm not that impressed at this price however. One bottle left to try in a few months. Tuscans at Campisi's

Cheers!
